French Dairy was the OG of the Cincinnati dairy industry when the  was founded in 1842 to allow Cincinnati to be the second city in the country (after NYC) to offer retail delivery of milk. The French Dairy was located in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Oakley, before moving to Lebanon in 1890s opening up room for the Oakley Racetrack to take over the land the French Dairy used. 

French Dairy merged with the Bauer Ice Cream and Baking Company to create French-Bauer in 1910 and distributed ice cream and dairy up until 1979 when French-Bauer was sold.
